They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join their passionate team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing leadership and support to the team, ensuring the highest standards of care and wellbeing for the children and young people in the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership and supervision to the staff.
- Support and mentor team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child and young person.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment within the residential service.
- Liaise with external professionals and agencies to ensure the holistic needs of the children and young people are met.
- Act as a positive role model for staff and young people, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
- Complete on call duties on a rota basis.
Requirements:
- Level 3 in Children and Young People or working towards.
- Previous experience working with children and young people with EBD in a residential setting.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to residential childcare.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Flexibility to fit on a rota basis- including sleep in’s.
