As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day care and development of the young people in the service. You will work on a rota basis, 2 days on and 4 days off, with sleep-in duties required as part of the role. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Providing high-quality care and support to the children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Leading and supporting a team of residential support workers, acting as a role model and mentor.
  • Implementing and reviewing individual care plans and risk assessments.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and managing challenging situations effectively.
  • Organising and participating in activities and outings.
  • Liaising with families, schools, and external agencies.
  • Ensuring all documentation and records are accurately maintained.

 

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.
  • Proven experience working with children and young people, particularly those with EBD.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity.
  • A full UK driver’s license.
