The Role
As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and delivery of high-quality care. You will:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative standards (Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, Ofsted, etc.)
- Deliver child-centred, trauma-informed care that supports children’s emotional and behavioural needs
- Lead, support, and develop a skilled staff team to deliver outstanding outcomes
- Oversee effective home management including budgeting, rotas, audits, and safeguarding
- Actively contribute to the wider strategic vision of the organisation.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People’s Residential Management), or willingness to achieve within 3 years
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential childcare
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior role
- In-depth knowledge of the Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, Children’s Homes Regulations, and safeguarding practices
- Strong leadership and staff supervision skills
- A valid UK driving licence
