In this role, you will provide essential care and support to children and young people, helping them navigate challenges and build brighter futures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive environment within the residential setting.
- Support the children and young people in developing their social, emotional, and practical life skills.
- Assist with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
- Manage challenging behaviours in a calm, supportive, and professional manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children and young people.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- A compassionate, resilient, and patient attitude.
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work flexibly and respond to the changing needs of the children and young people.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
