The service provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people with learning disabilities, helping them to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities.
- Promote a positive, safe, and nurturing environment within the residential setting.
- Support the physical, emotional, and social development of the children and young people in your care.
- Assist with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children and young people.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
- Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the children and young people in your care.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
